Encapsulated Gel Breaker is a temperature dependent releasing oxidizer, used in oil well fracking. It is offered as low temperature grade and high temperature delayed release grade.

We offer controlled release temperature dependent material having specifications as under:

Active matter: Ammonium persulfate 80%
Polymer coating: 20%. Polymer coating of several different level is offered.
Mesh size: 15-40mesh
Specific Gravity: Approximate 1.75
Release time: Does not release at room temperature and negligible release up to 50C or 125F. Releases slowly when temperature is increased to 65C or 150F. Almost all the active matter will be released in 18 hours at 65C.

Active matter: Encap Encapsulated Potassium persulfate 70%
Polymer coating: 30%. Polymer coating of several different level is offered.
Mesh size: 15-40mesh
Specific Gravity: Approximate 2
Release time: Does not release at less than 195F or 90C temperature. Releases slowly when temperature is increased to greater than 90C or 195F. It is recommended for use when down-hole temperatures up to 300F or 150C are expected.

Active matter: Encap Encapsulated Sodium Bromate 65%
Polymer coating: 35%. Polymer coating of several different level is offered.
Mesh size: 15-40mesh
Specific Gravity: Approximate 2.5
Release time: Does not release at room temperature and negligible release up to 115C or 240F. Releases slowly when temperature is increased to 280C or 330F. It is recommended for use when down-hole temperatures 280F to 330F or 138C to 165C expected.

This is tested at slow rpm. Testing at higher turbulence, with sand suspended along with, 75% of the release is in 6 hours.

Applications:
Oil field Oxidizing Encap Gel Breaker for Guar slurries used in fracturing. In fracking or frac jobs, after proppant is placed, fluid viscosity needs to be reduced.  All Guar based systems can be broken using oxidizing breakers. GB-2 generates free radicals of oxygen to efficiently oxidize and break all types of guar gels.

Chemical Structure:
It is a Persulfate salt with a temperature dependent release. We offer both immediate release and encapsulated delayed release low temperature and high temperature version.

Route of Action: Free radical generation starts upon dissolution is water and is accelerated at fluid temperatures of 120 F and above.  GB-2 can be used up to fluid temperatures of 200 F.

Environment: It is not hazardous to the environment.
